A PLEAD FOR MERCY

rainlove

In this tattered clothes

Soiled up with mud from the crown of my head to my feet soles

Beaten by the heavy rain as tears flows

Lost my balance with the stormy wind

Amidst thunder roaring like my miserable life has found its kind

I still manage to take each weak step barefooted with fear

No time to wipe off any bloody tear

Deserted and Rejected

Filty and messed up

Unwhole and unclean as I am

Who else can I run to for safety

Who else can I trust

Who else can I look up to

Who else can triumph Mercy over Justice

I am far beyond forgiveness

And deserves any punishment fit

But here I am

Pleading for mercy

So please have Mercy

mercy

What manner of sin can flash before you without a trace

What manner of man can hide from your face

You who sits at your holy place

And looks upon the earth free

Like an Eagle resting on the tallest tree

Yet sees anything beneath clear

What manner of evil can be made blur

How can disobedience even for a good cause seem right

Choosing us over your son not within our sight

But how can we pretend not to see

The pain and agony in your eyes as some glee

The heartbreak upon losing your son for no evil deed

Our everyday sin causes him to bleed

Shouting out your name for help destines

The price worthy enough for our sins

Deserted and Rejected

Filty and messed up

Unwhole and unclean as we are

Who else can we run to for safety

Who else can we trust

Who else can we look up to

Who else can triumph Mercy over Justice

We are far beyond forgiveness

And deserves any punishment fit

But here we are

Pleading for mercy

So please have Mercy
