Light is the natural agent that stimulates sight and makes things visible. Scientifically the heart is a hollow muscular organ that pumps the blood through the circulatory system by rhythmic contraction and dilation but can also be termed as the central or innermost part of something.
Light denotes truth, so talk about “the light in our hearts” is to say “the truth in our hearts”. Often the heart is seen as a weak tool and so we choose to do opposite of what it projects to us. Instead its our most reliable and truthful tool in all aspects of life, very beautiful and interesting are its ways and when you finally establish full connection with it you will realizes its the best place to turn to in terms of doubt.
For me, listening to my heart and following its light, has been an innate way of living life. Its tough sometimes since its way may not seem clear but at the end turns to be the right one. Truth be told I have never gone or done the opposite of what my heart has always told me to do even if it meant walking or standing alone, never been afraid or worried about how many people were doing the opposite or how other were going to react to my choice so far as I could hear my heart and see where its light is being thrown to, at least not what I remember. There is always the feeling that “you will regret if you do the opposite”, so I always stick to it and has never been disappointed.
Sometimes its tough sticking to it especially when those against or standing opposite are so influential, and the mind loves creating drama and playing catastrophic outcomes. It scares you of the outcome and most often make you waste time in playing ugly conclusions which consumes a great deal of energy robbing you of your innate creativity that could be used in a more meaningful way to solve the challenge you would probably be facing . Makes you feel that you need to switch to the opposite side but the heart would never engage in such a thing, its always about love and trust, leading to inner peace.
When you mindfully tune into your heart, separating from your thoughts and emotional reactions, you discover that the heart has a very clear, although sometimes a very subtle, way of saying “yes”, “no”, or “I don’t know – meaning hold on”. A sensation or feeling of opening, inner peace, relaxing, warmth, moving toward, is a “Yes.” A feeling or sensation of closing, hardening, pulling back, tensing, heavy and unsettling is a “No.”
The more we practice connecting and listening to our hearts, the more inner peace and joy we can cultivate. The voice of your heart is your true self and can only be heard clearly when you shut yourself from the world and people around you. People can be so convincing giving tangible and specific reasons as to why their choice is right for you. To me its best when my regret is out of a decision I made than for it to result from letting someone decide what was best for me.
Train yourself to ask your heart and “feel” the answers at the center of your chest. It may not be clear at first but with practice you will get better at trusting the messages of your own heart. Ask the questions: “What does my heart say?” What does my heart want?,” and “How does my heart feel?” Once you receive the answers is important to honor the messages and to follow its light.
The message of transformation and how we can all live from the light in our heart, not just our mind is a very important message to learn from. Our blindness in following the path of others and what they say don’t let us see the light that shines from our hearts making us already whole and complete. We must feel it so that it can lighten up our world.
Follow the path the light in your heart throws and you shall live a joyous life with no regret!!!
